Salouni & Alex Wedding Sneak Peaks | Zen Garden, Auckland

Salouni & Alex not only organised their whole wedding from Australia, but they organised TWO weddings, one an Indian extravaganza with 400+ guests and the other a relaxed lake side wedding at the beautiful Zen Gardens, and to finish it off, a surprise bridal party 'Thriller' dance.

Thanks to Victor Alexeyev for shooting alongside me on the day.

Adam & Victoria | Adventure Session - Kariotahi Beach, South Auckland

When I met with Adam & Victoria, we were discussing their wedding plans and my ideas for an engagement session, I was surprised when they weren't interested.  They informed me that the "dress up nice and pose for cute photos" type thing wasn't really them.

Instead of being upset I was the opposite, I was excited.  I had been waiting for a couple who would be eager for a little adventure.

What followed was early morning coffee and a trip out to the rugged Kariotahi Beach south of Auckland. We had strong winds and rough seas to contend with, as we walked along the barren beach.  We passed rusting car bodies, secret caves, sea anemones, lone fishermen and cliffs.  And of course we climbed those cliffs and took some totally not posed, and definitely not cute photos.

Adam & Victoria you guys were awesome and I can't wait to photograph your wedding in March.

An adventure session is about getting out into New Zealand and having fun.  If you are of the audacious type and interested in having me tag along for your own Adventure Session I would love to hear your ideas, and don't worry if you don't have any.  I have more than enough crazy ideas and places in mind.

Amy & David Wedding | Hamilton Wedding, New Zealand

I first met Amy & David in Hamilton for their engagement photos and there was a love between them that was pure, simple and genuine.  As a couple they were relaxed and had an awesome time with their bridal party and guests at the wedding.

A big thanks to Ruth Gilmour for second shooting on the day.
